The Role
The International Sales Manager will be responsible for overseeing the sales, distribution, and marketing of Henri SELMER Paris instruments, including saxophones, clarinets, mouthpieces, and accessories across a dynamic territory that includes the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, the Baltic States, Hungary, Czech Republic, and Romania. You will play an important role as both a brand ambassador and a business partner, building strong relationships with dealers, educators, musicians, and other key influencers in the music industry.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain an extensive dealer network through regular visits, phone calls, and email communication.
• Work closely with dealers to provide ongoing support and advice, ensuring they meet their business objectives.
• Identify new business opportunities in underserved regions and drive sales through prospecting, qualification, and closing.
• Engage with music educators, musicians, and ambassadors in the territory, fostering long-term relationships and promoting the SELMER brand.
• Execute sales strategies and promotional campaigns for various product lines, meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Maintain and update customer information, leads, and prospects in the CRM system.
• Significant international travel is required within the territory, including the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, the Baltic States, Hungary, Czech Republic, and Romania. This may include trips of up to a week at a time (e.g., in Poland or the Czech Republic), as well as shorter trips of a few days to visit dealers or attend events. On average, you will travel internationally 2 to 3 times per month, making this a highly dynamic and travel-intensive role.
• You must also be willing to handle logistical tasks from home, including coordinating shipments and other operational matters for your regions.
• Presenting to large groups at events and trade shows will also be a part of the role, requiring charisma and confidence to engage diverse audiences effectively.
What We Are Looking For
• At least 5 years of experience in an Area Manager or similar sales role, with a proven track record in sales, prospecting, and relationship-building.
• Strong time management skills, an entrepreneurial mindset, and the ability to thrive both independently and as part of a team.
• A true passion for music and an understanding of the needs and desires of musicians, educators, and dealers.
• Fluent in English, with proficiency in German or French considered a strong plus.
• High energy, dedication, and the ability to work autonomously are crucial in this role.
• A willingness to manage logistical tasks from home, including coordination and support for your territories.
